Welcome to the Waikouaiti/Palmerston Toy Library in Waikouaiti!

The Waikouaiti/Palmerston Toy Library is a non-profit organisation which provides a wide range of toys, games and puzzles to families with young children in the local community. We cater for children from new-born – 8 years of age and members can take home up to a dozen toys for free each fortnight for very reasonable membership fees. We are continuously updating our toy inventory and always welcome suggestions to the wish list.

The benefits of a toy library are numerous, and these include:

Encouraging learning through play and therefore improving life outcomes for children
Access to good quality toys which local families may not otherwise be able to afford
Volunteers can advise as to which toys may best suit a child and age
There are environmental benefits as less toys need to be sent to landfill

Are you having a party?

Hosting a party can be quite overwhelming. How are we going to entertain these wee ones?! As your local toy library, we try and help make it fun and easy! Keep those wee ones entertained with our rollercoaster, huge range of ride on toys, sand table and hundreds of other toys! All our inventory can be placed on hold for you to pick up before your party, so let us know what you would love to have at your party and enjoy!
